COMMISSIONS
Capturing Wildlife and landscapes on canvas has been Rod's special calling and interest for the last twenty-four years. He has sold his work in many galleries and art auctions throughout the country. He has done many successful commissions of waterfowl, upland game birds, sporting art, gun dogs and landscapes. He spends many hours outdoors and works from his collection of photographs and client supplied research.
Painting prices are charged as to subject matter, size and complexity of the painting. An estimate of the price will be given at the initial consultation. Preliminary drawings of the client's ideas are composed from the artist's or client's photographs and are sent to client for approval. Client input is welcomed and encouraged. Basic color sketches are made and sent for approval. Final size and cost determination is decided.
A contract agreement will be sent stating the agreement between both parties. Commissioned paintings, due to their personal nature require extra time and care. For this reason current commissions are running six to seven months for completion.
